Isabel and Andy met 6 years ago on New Years Eve. So, it was only fitting that they get married on New Years Eve 2014. It was a lovely day at the Julian Smith Casino, Barbecue Pit. It seems evident from the pictures that they are very much in love.

Thanksgiving at Janet’s House

I have so much to be grateful for this year because my friend Janet was well enough to host Thanksgiving. Last year she was fighting the effects of chemotherapy for the MDS that literally threatened her life. She was not well enough to even think about having Thanksgiving at her home. It just wasn’t Thanksgiving without my friend and her family, who have become like my family. These photos are of her new additions to her family, her grandchildren, Nolan and Bella. Also, Jason’s daughter, Pat. It was a wonderful day.

Hispanic Festival

Photos taken at the Hispanic Festival in Augusta, GA.

Lots of ethnic amazing food, Pina Coladas, dancing, and fun for all who attended. A beautiful day in Augusta, Ga for everyone who is Latin or just loves Hispanic culture. It was unusually hot for October (92) but that didn’t stop fans of the Hispanic Festival, vendors, and dancers from celebrating the Hispanic culture, very rich and enduring.

People and Events photos at various gatherings

These photos of people and events were taken with my Speedlite attached to an hand bracket to eliminate shadows. The group photos with me in it were taken with my Speedlite mounted on a tripod, and using a remote timer in my hand, I clicked–and voila, group photo with me–yeah!

I will be taking a Wedding and Event Photography class shortly. I will continue to learn and grow in this field that I love.
