I put out feelers on Facebook and word of mouth that I really needed models for portraits. Since I live alone, the only model I have been able to consistently get is myself. I am very cooperative and know just how to pose for maximum effect, but I needed other people. So, Elaine from Chicks that Click photography club volunteered. It was a little awkward at first as she is not used to posing, but as time went on we both got into the swing of things and everything fell into place. I didn’t’t even have to tell her what to do next–she just changed her position and expression slightly and there was another shot. I had a great time that day and got some great shots of Elaine.
Becky
One thing I can say about Becky, she has a real zest for life. I advertised that I needed models and she volunteered. I’ve taken her portraits before, but this was another one. I often like to do dark, moody shots, especially of me. But I just knew that wouldn’t work for Becky. She is a happy, joyful, human being and I wanted to let her personality sparkle. I think these shots truly show the essence of her as a person. She loves to shop and there were no problems getting her to bring several cute outfits. She hardly needs any direction for posing as she is a natural. I enjoyed the afternoon with her and I hope I have captured and portrayed Becky as the happy person she is.
Flappers – Roaring Twenties
The Chicks that Click held a Roaring Twenties themed photo shoot using two twin models dressed as flappers. We also had a vintage car for them to pose with. The flappers were very photogenic and cooperative.
Dog Photography
I attended a dog photography workshop a few weeks ago. We had three models, Teddy, Annabelle, and Baylee. Baylee was the most model-friendly because she has been posing for years. One could say she is a diva.
Train Depot in Aiken
The Chicks the Click Photography group arranged for a vintage Aiken train depot photo shoot. The models were beautifully dressed in vintage clothes from the early 1900s. Some of the gorgeous outfits were actually made by the talented ladies of this group. The models were incredible in their patience–that goes even for the younger children. What a fun day. Here are some of the shots.
Model Shoot
My photo group (Chicks That Click) went to one of the members’ home for a photo shoot of her property. She had several non-professional models posing for us in various places. The models were very accommodating and allowed us to take lots and lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy these pictures of these lovely models.
